TISSUE PAPERS #01: MAKING

MAKING is the inaugural publication in the TISSUE PAPERS series of anthologies, bringing together trans* art and writing from the UK and beyond, as both upcoming and established creatives respond to various themes. Think of it as a TISSUE event that you get to take home at the end of the night.

With work that covers everything from Marcel Duchamp and Kurt Cobain to papier-mâché dogs and muffing, this anthology asks The Big Questions: How does making relate to transness? How do we craft ourselves, our bodies, our communities, our meme pages? How, if at all, does transness come into processes of making, crafting and creating? Is transness a useful lens to make through? And perhaps the biggest question of all: who or what makes us trans?
